Attempting BTS Jung Kook's Ramen Recipe Resulted in My Euphoria: A Review

How to Make Jung Kook’s Bulguri Ramen

Jung Kook's bulgur ramen recipe is straightforward but specific. Begin by pouring 650-680 milliliters of water (equivalent to about 2 3/4 cups) into a frying pan and bringing it to a boil. Then, add the entire packet of sauce that accompanies the Buldak ramen and half of the Neoguri soup mix packet. Add in the two noodle blocks and let it boil until it reaches your desired texture (Ideally, the noodles should have a little firmness).

Meanwhile, the broth cooks down to a savory and flavorful combination. Taste the soup and adjust accordingly; if it's too salty, add a little more water.

As the ramen approaches completion, top it with the seaweed flake and sesame seed mix that accompanies the Buldak ramen, add extra toasted sesame seeds, and finally drizzle the pan with an "appropriate amount" of perilla oil based on your preference. After following the steps, the result is a delicious bowl of bulgur ramen that is sure to satisfy your taste buds.

Jung Kook's Bulgur Ramen: The Perfectly Balanced Combination of Instant Noodle Hacks

Jung Kook's latest culinary creation may not be as flashy as other ramen hacks out there, but it's definitely just as ingenious. By combining the Buldak sauce and Neoguri soup powder, the resulting soup is packed with flavorful spices that perfectly coat each strand of noodle without overpowering the dish. It's a subtle, yet brilliant pairing.

What's even more impressive is the addition of perilla oil, which adds a deep fragrance to the dish that's not typically found in instant noodles. Its nutty and slightly bitter qualities complement the spice of the soup, resulting in a savory umami flavor. I had to search for perilla oil at my local Asian grocer, but it was definitely worth it. Plus, now I have a new ingredient to experiment with in my Korean pantry.

The amount of noodles in this recipe may be overwhelming for a single person, but it's perfect for sharing with friends, especially during a BTS celebration. I'm already looking forward to making this recipe again for Jung Kook's upcoming birthday in Septem

Jung Kook's Bulgur Ramen: Tips for a Perfect Bowl

To ensure your bowl of bulgur ramen is just as satisfying as Jung Kook's, here are a few tips:

1. Be generous with perilla oil. While it's unclear how much perilla oil Jung Kook uses, adding about 3 tablespoons will enhance the flavor and balance the spiciness of the ramen.

2. Make it your own. Instant ramen is always better with personalized toppings. Consider adding an egg, juicy pieces of steak, chewy rice cakes, and/or chopped green onions for a satisfying meal.

3. Adjust the spiciness level. If the bulgur ramen turns out too spicy for your preference, try adding a drop of milk or mayonnaise to help balance the heat.

By following these simple tips, you'll be able to create a delicious and personalized bowl of bulgur ramen just like the Golden Maknae himself.
